Would you say if you were asked that you have been a faithful servant of the Lord?

  • Do you believe that God will determine that your discharge from your life service on this earth is honorable?
Do you have any concerns that He will find your service here on earth dishonorable?

  • What are the things about your life that make you believe He will give you an honorable discharge?

  • What are the things about your life that make you think He might give you a dishonorable discharge?

Soul Moves

  • An honorable discharge always first begins with a relationship with Jesus Christ.
“But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our trespasses. It is by grace you have been saved!.......For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.”
    – Ephesians 2:4, 5, 8-10

  • You have to first be enlisted in service (accept Jesus and be adopted into God’s family) and give your tour of duty (this life) before you can be discharged – either honorably or dishonorably.

  • Determine that you want your eventual passing from this life to the next to be precious to God.
Ask God to show you in His orders and terms of service (His Word – the Bible) what it is you must do in order to be one day honorably discharged.
Scriptures like Galatians 5:16-26 give us a very good idea what kind of choices and behavior will result in either an honorable or a dishonorable discharge.

  • Remember that everything you do is seen and heard by your Commander-in-Chief.
Ask God to help you live with a conscious awareness of His presence in every part of your day every day and all day.
It will help to change the way you live and will greatly affect the choices you make and the behaviors you engage in.
Live to please your commanding officer and you will get the promotion(s) you are hoping for.
