If You're Stealing Headlines Because of Bad Behavior You'd Better Turn Things Around Before the Real Trouble Comes

Proverbs 28:14

When people read the headlines of your life, will those headlines be good or bad?

Soul Food

“Blessed is the one who always trembles before God, but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble.”

- Proverbs 28:14 (NIV)

Soul Search

  • What kind of reputation do you think you have?
What do you think people think of you when they hear your name?

  • "For the people closest to you, when they read the headlines of your life, do they see good things or do they see not-so-good things?
    Be honest with yourself here.
What are the “not-so-good” things that they see?"

  • Can you say that you think about God every day?
Do you think about Him very often?
If you knew you were going to see Him for real and in-person, would it change the choices you make as it concerns your words and behavior?

Soul Moves

  • Ask the people closest to you if there are things about you that could stand to be improved?
Ask them if there are things about you that could be changed for the better.

  • Ask God in prayer to show you things about you that need to be changed.
Ask Him to show you specifics.

  • Ask God to forgive you for behaviors that create ‘bad’ headlines.
Ask God to bring the Holy Spirit of Jesus into your life so that He can tutor you and counsel you so that bad headlines are replaced with good ones.
