Soul Search

  • Are you getting God’s Word, the Bible, into your head and your heart?
Do you read it regularly and/or do you listen to it as someone else reads it?

  • God speaks to His children through His written word – the Bible.
If you’re not reading it or listening to it, do you think you will hear His voice?
Yes, God can speak audibly to people but the primary way you will hear and know God’s voice is through the Bible.

  • If you’re not taking God’s Word into your mind and heart, why not?
Do you know what keeps you from taking it in?

  • What is going on in your life that you need God to speak to you?
    Can you talk about it?

Soul Moves

  • Make a simple plan to spend a number of minutes every day reading the Bible.
You will be positioning yourself to clearly hear God’s voice as He speaks to you through His written Word.

  • Be on the lookout for God to speak His word(s) to you and to confirm His word(s) to you over and over again.

  • If you don’t have the desire or inclination to read or listen to the Bible, ask God to give you the desire.
Ask Him to inspire you to get into it.
The act of faith you might need to exercise is to simply pick it up and start reading.
Trust God to take care of the rest.
