The Holy Spirit is Jesus' Eternal Love Letter to Us

“But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you…….He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.” - John 16:7,14,15 (NIV)

Soul Search

  • Why did Jesus tell His followers that He had to physically leave the earth? 

  • Does His reasoning make sense to you?

  • Can you think of a time that God directed you and offered His counsel to you by His Holy Spirit?

  • Did this happen because God spoke through the advice or counsel of someone you know or did you receive His counsel through quiet listening and prayer? 

  • Even though Jesus is no longer here on earth in His physical body, can you acknowledge times that you know He is here with you? 

Soul Moves

  • Ask God in prayer to show you that He is with you and that He loves you. 

  • Be watching and listening for the Holy Spirit to ring your doorbell (in a spiritual, emotional and/or physical way) and deliver you a reminder of His love for you.
