Ephesians 4:32

The people you live with are the ones who are sometimes the most difficult to be kind to; be intentional in your kindness to them.

Soul Food

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

- Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)

Soul Search

  • What family member do you have the most difficult time showing kindness to?
What friend or acquaintance do you struggle to show kindness to?

  • Do you know why you struggle to be kind to these individuals?

  • What changes can you make in your attitude and thinking toward these individuals that might help you to be more kind to them?

Soul Moves

  • If that family member or friend who you struggle to be kind to has hurt you, offended you or abused you, ask God to show you clearly how healing needs to be worked in you.

  • Be honest with God and confess to Him the pain that you carry that causes you to withhold kindness from these people.

  • Maybe no one has hurt you but you just have a difficult time being kind.
Ask God to reveal to you why showing kindness is hard for you.

  • Ask God to give you creative ideas for showing kindness not only to the people you love (maybe you’ve ignored or neglected them) but also to the people you don’t love and who you struggle to show kindness to.
