Soul Search

  • Have you ever felt abandoned because someone you loved dearly and who loved you dearly, has left you or has died?
Who was that and are you able to talk about the circumstances surrounding their departure?

  • When you think about or talk about that person who you were separated from, how does it make you feel?
If there is a lingering hurt or wound do you know why?
Are you able to talk about it?

  • Do you hold any resentment or anger toward the person who left you?
If you do, can you describe why you feel that way?

  • Is it possible you hold anger or resentment or bitterness toward God because that person was taken out of your life?
Can you share how you feel about God as you contemplate His role in the taking of that person out of your life?
