Don't Worry About Making a Move "Because God has the Address"

John 1:14

When God asks you to make a move - to make a transition - cast your cares and fears on Him and start the car

Soul Food

“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” - John 1:14 (NIV)

Soul Search

  • How comfortable are you with change?
    Why or why not?

  • Do you like change or does change intimidate or even scare you?

  • Have you made many physical moves in your life or have you tended to move infrequently if at all?

  • Have you ever sensed God asking you to pick up and move?
    Can you talk about that?
How did you know it was God prompting you or did your doubts about whether it was God’s voice speaking to you keep you from making the move(s)?

Soul Moves

  • There is no question that God has some people planted in one place for long periods of time and it’s His plan for them to stay planted in that one place.

  • However, consider that it might be possible that you’re to be bold enough to just ask God this one question, “Would you ever want me to make a physical move?”

  • If there is the slightest hint of possibility, then don’t be afraid to ask Him the question.
And, after asking the question, you might need to ask God for the faith – and courage – you need to hear what His answer might be.

  • You might be a person who hasn’t traveled far from home. You might be uncomfortable leaving home.
Just a thought: as you’re able to (time-wise, family-wise and finances allowing), ‘practice’ taking short trips away from home even if it takes you out of your comfort zone.
It may be that God is preparing you for the trip of a lifetime that takes you farther away and has you there for a longer period of time than you ever imagined.
And it just might turn out to be the greatest blessing of your life.
