Don't Forget Your Dreams; It's Never Too Late To See Them Come True

“’So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand…..For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, ‘Do not fear; I will help you.’”

Philippians 4:12,13

“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

Soul Search

  • What dream(s) did you have as a child?
    How does it make you feel when you think about those dreams and when you talk about them?

  • Are you living your dream now?
    If not, why not?
    How do you feel talking about it?

  • Would you say your dreams and passions changed in a natural and positive way over time to put you where you are now, or would you say they got ‘interrupted’ or challenged in some way so that you have been prevented from living them out?

  • What is keeping you from living your dream?
    Do you think it’s too late to live your dream and if so, why?
    Are you scared to “go there” in terms of re-visiting your dreams because it’s painful to not be living the dream that you believe you were made for?
    Is it possible you should be re-visiting your dream(s)?

Soul Moves

  • Talk to God about your dreams (this is called prayer and is a conversation you have with God and then listen to what He might say to you) and ask Him if He is the one who put those dreams in you.

  • If you believe God put the dreams in you that He did, then believe that He is big enough and powerful enough to bring them to pass.

  • Share your dream(s) with people you are close to and who you trust.
    See what they think about your dream(s) and get their honest feedback.
    Be aware that some people are more positive and encouraging than others.
    Try to share with people who you think would encourage you and cheer you on in the pursuit of your dream(s).

  • Ask God to make a way in propelling you toward the fulfilment of your dream(s).
    Ask Him to begin inside of you to give you the faith, trust, and hope to pursue your dream(s) and to also work outside of you to bring the ingredients in the recipe for your dream together so that it can happen.
