Don't Allow Your Hurt To Continue Stifling Relationships

Psalm 147:3-5

Trust God to heal your heart and bring healing to your relationships

Soul Food

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.”

- Psalm 147:3-5

Soul Search

  • Do you have one or more relationships that you formerly counted meaningful to you but that suffered some hurt or damage that has caused you to no longer communicate with that person?
    Can you share an example?

  • Have you encountered someone while you were ‘out and about’ and you purposely tried to avoid them because of the hurt from the broken relationship?

  • Is it possible that God wants to heal and restore the relationship and that He wants to use you to do it?
What is preventing you from being that agent of healing?

  • What do you think God is wanting to build in you and do in you through the process of reconciliation?

  • Do you believe God wants to heal your heart and heal your hurt?
    Why or why not?

Soul Moves

  • It may be a short list or it may be a long one, but ask God to help you put a list together of the people that you have suffered a broken relationship with. Ask God to help you identify the part you played in the brokenness. Where does God want to do some healing and construction in your heart?

  • It is possible that the brokenness in the relationship was one-sided or lop-sided but there is still a part that God might want you to play in the healing that can happen. Ask Him to show you what He wants you to do. His strength is limitless and He can give you everything you need to do your part in the possible reconciliation.
