When You're In A Pickle Don't Doubt That God Will Give You Wisdom To Know The Way Out

James 1:5-8

The same God who makes pickles to eat knows how to free you from pickles that want to eat you.

Soul Food

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.”

- James 1:5-8 (NIV)

Soul Search

  • Can you remember a time when you were in a pickle or a difficult situation and you didn’t know what to do?

  • When you were in that situation did you call out to God?
Did you know at the time that you could call out to God?

  • How did you resolve the situation?
If you did call out to God to help you, can you say that you know that God helped you?
    How did He help you?

Soul Moves

  • If you struggle doubting that God can intervene in your difficult situations, ask Him in prayer to help your unbelief.

  • When you’re in a pickle, make it your practice to immediately ask God for wisdom to know how to remedy the situation.
Also, trust that God can remedy your situation without you having to do or say anything.

  • Ask God to make you single-minded and single-souled so that your belief will overwhelm your doubt and bring the assurance that God’s wisdom will be present to help you.
