Soul Food

Psalm 119:105

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

Romans 1:18-20

“The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. For what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse.”

Soul Search

  • Do you believe you know God’s Word – the Bible – well enough to have some understanding and knowledge about God’s plans for your destination as you travel through this life?
What do you think/believe He wants for you?

  • Do you believe in God?
Do you believe He has a master plan for your life and for the purposes He placed you on this earth for?
Why do you or why don’t you believe?

  • If you have trouble believing in God or believing that He has a plan specifically for your life, can you trace your unbelief back to something that happened in your life or that you experienced?

  • Do you believe God is good?
    Why or why not?
The Bible says that God is love (I John 4:7-12).
Do you believe that God is love itself and that He is loving?

Soul Moves

  • Ask God to show you through His Word – the Bible – the plans He has for your ultimate destination not only in this life but in your afterlife.

  • Ask God to take you – by His Holy Spirit who the Bible says is our ‘Counselor’ and ‘Helper’ (John 14:16,26) – on a journey of self-discovery to understand why you struggle to believe in God and in His ultimate plans for your life.

  • Take a close look at your beliefs and where they lead you in this life. If you don’t believe in God, what is your ‘end’ after this life is over?
Read the apostle Paul’s thoughts about believing in God as it relates to the end of our mortal lives (I Corinthians 15:16-23).

  • Ask God in prayer to help you with your unbelief (read Mark 9:14-27) and ask Him to teach you about His final destination for you.
