Do You Have A Steep Hill To Climb? Take A Lesson From the Little Engine That Could

Soul Food

“For nothing will be impossible with God.” - Luke 1:37 (ESV)

Soul Search

  • Do you default to thinking and saying, “I just can’t do that.” Or if you know the path that you’ll have to walk will be difficult and challenging do you say, “I just won’t do that.”

  • Do you believe that God can give you the hope and optimism and strength you need to face that steep climb and see you up and over the top?

  • The climb often begins at the base of the hill with our own thoughts. We either think we can make it – or not.

  • "What uphill battle or climb are you facing today?

  • Can you talk about it? "

  • Can you identify what is holding you back?

Soul Moves

  • "Invite God to partner with you to give you what you need – starting in your own mind – to begin the steep climb.
Invite the people you are closest to to join with you in prayer and encouragement as you make the climb. "

  • "Ask God to give you a snapshot of His belief in your ability to conquer whatever mountains you face.
If you ask for His help He knows you can do it.
And He’ll help you to believe you can do it. "

  • If there is a tough climb ahead and you just don’t want to do it, but you know you should do it, invite God to give you the nudge you need to take the first step toward the top.

  • "Remember that God wants people to want Him. He wants them to need Him.
Those who think they can do anything and everything on their own almost always take the credit for themselves.
God wants to partner with people who know they need Him so that when they do get to the top they give Him some of the credit too. "
